About Me & My Photography:
My name is Nick Williams a creative wedding and event photographer in Bristol. After serving 13 years in the Army I felt it was time for a change. It was time to pursue a career in what had always been a hobby. I have been passionate about photography since the age of 12 when I got my first SLR camera. It was a film, Praktica MTL50, and I loved it. Learning the skills of a photographer on an old manual focus film camera went a great way to understanding the theory of most modern-day photography. Most of all, having the ability to take the camera off auto at your Bristol wedding to make your photographs shine. This is one of the many things that makes my work stand out. Wedding photographer Bristol, and across the south-west. Having photographed over 1000 weddings in and around Bristol, I’m often asked: “Are you not bored of them?”. The simple answer is “no” because I love them. I may have photographed over a 1000 weddings but I can honestly say that I have never photographed two that were the same. Most noteworthy a lot of my working week is spent in my office, so on your wedding day, I plan to have fun.
So many Bristol photographers believe the wedding photographs are the most important part of the day. That’s nonsense. The most important thing is that you, your friends and family have a wonderful wedding. My promise to you is that I will photograph your wedding in such a way, that you enjoy every memory I capture on my camera.
I’m often asked what equipment I use to photograph weddings. So, for those interested, I use two cameras: a Canon 1DX and a 5D MKIV. With these, I use five lenses: 15mm f2.8 fisheye, 17-40 f4, 24-70 F2.8 MKII, 70-200 f2.8 MkII and a 40mm F2.8 prime. I also carry three flashes and all the lighting and camera stands that I will need on the day. Finally my trusted Mac book pro.
