Another fabulous wedding to share with you all. Set in the beautiful town of Cheddar and the wonderful city of Wells at the Bishop’s Palace. Rebecca and Martin were a joy to photograph and it was a pleasure to be a small part of their wedding day.
I started the day with the bride, Rebecca and her bridesmaids as they prepared for the wedding. It was houseful with hair and makeup in full swing. Once I got what I needed I made my way to the church to meet up with the boys who as you can see, arrived in style. It was a glorious day with smiles all around, I knew from the off this was going to be an easy wedding to photograph. Before long our gorgeous bride arrived and I was able to capture some memories of their special service. After the wedding, we made out way outside giving all the guests the time and opportunity to congratulate the bride and groom. Then after some group photographs we all mage our way to the Bishop’s Palace to continue the fun.
If you do not know it, the Bishop’s Palace is a wonderful place to hold your wedding. The Bishop’s Palace has been the home to the Bishop’s of Bath and Wells for over 800 years. It’s surrounded by 14 acres of stunning gardens, which we made full use of on the day. If you were in the area I would recommend going for a look around, as it is normally open to the public. After taking more group photographs requested by the bride and groom it was soon time to make full use of the grounds. On a whistle-stop tour, Rebecca; Martin and I made our way around the fabulous gardens capturing some very special moments as we went. I could have kept going all day and all night but it was soon time for the bride and groom along with their guests to sit down for their fabulous meal.
After the meal and the cutting the cake I asked the bride and groom if they wanted me to stay a little later at the Bishop’s Palace. I had an idea for a wonderful way to finish off their wedding album but it had to be done once it was dark. They trusted me and the photographs you see by the gatehouse were the result. They came out just as I imagined.
