Heyuan and Robert’s wedding, held at Thornbury Castle. Working as a wedding photographer in Bristol, over the last few years I have photographed more and more weddings with less than ten people. Lots of couples eloping or holding their special day with just a few special guests. Often the weddings are midweek, which is great for me. They are just as much fun to photograph as a large 80 people plus wedding.
Heyuan and Robert’s Wedding
Heyuan and Robert’s wedding was on a Monday where they were joined by some close friends and family to help them celebrate this special day. Later this year they will he have a second ceremony in China with Heyuan’s family. Thornbury Castle is a wonderful place for a small and intimate wedding. Thornbury Castle, once owned by Henry VIII, has stood firm through many of history’s most pivotal and dramatic events. It’s now a stunning hotel with grounds to match making it a great place to hold your wedding.
The Wedding Ceremony
The service was held in the library which, as always, has some tricky lighting to master. Well, master it I did and the photographs of the wedding came out beautifully. Heyuan and Robert then made their way outside into the stunning gardens and were joined by their guests. The grounds of the castle make a truly spectacular setting for wedding photographs with your friends and family.
Heyuan and Robert were clearly in love and we had some great fun in and around the castle. We were spoilt for choice for photographic locations, there were so many spring flowers out in bloom. Thinking 4 to 5 steps ahead, I made sure we got all the photographs the couple wanted. This was done quickly so they could rejoin their guests.
Heyuan and Robert’s wedding was great fun to photograph, as you can see from the photograph below. I captured their day in the way they requested and I know they will love their wedding photographs. To see more of my work click here.
