My next wedding to show you is that of Lorna and Zach . They got married just East of Bristol at the Limpley Stoke hotel. This is a wedding venue I have worked at before. Although it’s been a few years since I photographed a wedding there. Having now photographed Lorna and Zach’s wedding I hope it’s not so long until I return.
Limpley Stoke hotel wedding
Lorna arrived in a stunning Rolls Royce accompanied by her father. I was able to capture the beautiful bride through the window of the Rolls just before they went inside. The ceremony was perfect and thanks to the wonderful registrars I was able to capture some wonderful memories of the wedding.
Straight after the wedding ceremony, I made my way outside to capture the calibrations. Whenever possible I like to give my brides and grooms the time to enjoy the moment before starting the formal photographs. As you can tell I don’t take a break at this stage. No I capture the bride and groom being congratulated by all their guests.
The wedding photographs
It was soon time for me to start organising the photographs that had been requested by the bride and groom. I started with the large group photographs capturing the whole wedding party with the stunning view behind. I find that doing the large group photographs first really does work best. For the majority of the guests, after a posing for two or three photographs, they are free to wonder off. This can be to check in at the hotel, to enjoy the grounds or perhaps pay a visit to the bar.
The bride and groom
After photographing the wedding party it was soon time to capture the lovely bride and groom, Lorna and Zach. As always I had my plan of where I was going to take the photographs. By being nice and organised, I ensure I can take the maximum amount of photographs in the shortest amount of time.
After the wedding breakfast and speeches, it was soon time to party. As you can see from the photographs, I had a feeling this the part of the day many had been looking forward to.
