The wedding Venue – Thornbury Castle
Lorraine and Jason’s wedding was held at the wonderful Thornbury Castle, Just a few miles from the centre of Bristol. A stunning castle that I know very well. If you have followed my blog you will know just how many weddings I have photographed here over the years. On the day the forecast was not good and poor Lorraine was more than a little worried. I reassured her that Thornbury Castle was such a great venue it did not matter if it rains. In the end, we did not need to worry as you can see from the lovely sun in the wedding photographs. After photographing both Jason and Lorraine before the wedding it was soon time for the service.
Lorraine and Jason’s wedding
The room they got married in is very dark for a camera, I don’t think the Tudor designers of the castle had digital photography in mind when they drew up the plans. To the eye, it’s simply stunning and romantic with the candles lighting the room to perfection. As their wedding photographer, I have to make sure the camera is set just right and my technique is perfect for the photographs or the wedding will not come out. As always you can see I nailed it and was able to capture some very special moments of Lorraine and Jason’s wedding.
The wedding Photographs
After the service, we made our way out into the magnificent grounds for champagne and canapés. After some time celebrating it was over to me, their wedding photographer to start with the formal photographs. Working quickly we were soon onto the photographs of just the happy couple on their wedding day. As you can see we made our way around the grounds using a different angle to great effect. Another wonderful wedding that was a joy to be a small part of.
