As you can see from these photographs the number one aim at Robyn and Gemma’s wedding was to have fun. This was achieved from start to finish. For their wedding, I headed south from Bristol into Devon. The morning started with the getting ready photographs for both girls. They got ready separately at different addresses so careful planning was needed to ensure everything was covered. I knew very early on in the day that this was going to be a very easy wedding to photograph. Both houses were full of smiles and laughter. What a lovely way to start the day.
Robyn and Gemma’s wedding
For Robyn and Gemma’s wedding, they had plan A, which was to hold the wedding outside. As for plan B, that was the same as plan A, just with umbrellas. I loved how all their friends and family bought into this and as one said “ sod the rain, let’s have fun” luckily the rain, which was only light, soon died off leaving us to enjoy the rest of the day. For the second day in a row, the couple chose a wonderfully personal humanist ceremony. The wedding was heartwarming and easy to photograph with all the emotion on show.
The Wedding Photographs
After Robyn and Gemma’s wedding, it was time for some documentary style photography as their friends and family got the opportunity to congratulate the happy couple. i then got to organise the group photographs the the girls had requested. I then got the opportunity to take Robyn and Gemma around the grounds for some lovely photographs of the two bides for the first time as a married couple.
As you can see from these photographs the weather stayed on our side and Gemma and Robyn got to relax with their friends in the open air. This gave me the opportunity to grab even more reportage style photographs. Such a fun wedding to photograph. I’m so glad Gemma and Robyn got the wedding they had dreamt off.
