Here we have Victoria and Ian’s wedding at Kings Weston House in Bristol. A wonderful wedding to photograph, in such splendid surroundings. If you do not know Kings Weston House, it’s a grade one listed building on the edge of Bristol. It was completed in 1719 and was designed by Sir John Vanbrugh, who also designed Blenhiem Palace, another great venue I have photographed a wedding at. With stunning views overlooking the river seven and such a spectacular building it truly is a wonderful place to get married.
Kings Weston House
Victoria got ready at King Weston House in one of the many splendid bedrooms. The room was huge with lots of wonderful natural light streaming in through the windows. After photographing Victoria I made my way downstairs to grab some photographs of Ian who was greeting their guests. What a lovely way to start the day.
Soon it was time for Victoria and Ian’s wedding ceremony. This took place in the main room which as you can see, it’s amazing. I loved the look on Victoria’s face throughout the ceremony, she was beaming from ear to ear. After the wedding, we made our way outside via the main steps. This is where I had organized their wedding guest, ready to throw the confetti.

We then started with the group shots including the large one of everyone. As you can see I decided to do a close up photograph but also a wider one with all of the building in view. After the group photographs, I made my way around the grounds with the bride and groom taking photographs as we went. Such a great venue to do this, I was spoilt for choice for location to take the photographs. I then left Victoria and Ian to relax with their guests. I did not stop working I continued to take yet more reportage photographs.
As you can see before I left I grabbed some photographs as the sky turns from a white cloud to a deep, dark blue. This is one of my favourite times to take photographs.
A wonderful wedding at a spectacular venue, right on the edge of Bristol. If you like what you why not check out some more of my work in one of my wedding galleries
